Swimming
The morning swim can be done at the nearest bathing area where you can also have a refreshing drink. There is also an outdoor shower to rinse off the salt water.
On the other side of the harbor bay there are several bathing areas with changing facilities. Both bathing areas are excellent to cycle to.
Bicycle tours
There are two bicycles per apartment to borrow. If you are an experienced cyclist, you can take a ride south, where the road to Vrboska and Jelsa goes past countless vineyards and olive groves, and when you arrive there is a refreshing beer. For those who want more of a challenge, you can cycle up the mountain to the church with the cross, on the other side of the harbor. Basina and Rudine can also be visited. The whole Kabal (the peninsula that creates the deepest bay of Stari Grad) can be cycled.
Food
Bakeries, restaurants and cafés are plentiful. There are over 20 different restaurants in Stari Grad.It's hard to know which ones are the best as most hire chefs during the season. There are a few restaurants that are open all year round. We tend to favor them because it creates the opportunity to eat good food even in the off-season.
Shops
Tommy is centrally located and a larger one at the ferry port. Studenac is at the bus stop and down by the marina. At the ferry terminal there are both shoe and clothing shops. In Hvar you can find shops and small stores with jewelry by famous artists and also branded clothing such as Gant, Sand, Lacoste and others.
Excursions
By bus you can go to the town of Hvar. The town is worth a visit. The old castle high above the town and the monastery on the waterfront are good excursion destinations. If you want to swim in Hvar, it is best to take a taxi boat to one of the islands immediately outside the harbor.
Important information:
The best way to maintain a comfortable temperature indoors is to make sure that windows, shutters and doors are closed all day. The apartment will not be cooled down by creating draughts, as the air that is let in is the same temperature as that outside. Turn off the AC when you leave the apartment - it is useful in the evenings and at night.
For bookings of less than a week, a cleaning and laundry fee will be charged.
